Job Description

Develops specifications for moderately complex web based software programming applications and modifies/maintains the existing software. Develops, modifies and maintains applications that may be customized or standardized. Participates in design and coding activities with other staff members.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Codes applications following specifications using the appropriate tools.
• Maintains and modifies existing applications on their own as well as under direction from senior staff members.
• Performs maintenance programming for existing version. Performs custom programming at customer request
• Assumes responsibility for ongoing data architecture for product
• Other duties as assigned

Skills Required

• Extensive and in-depth hands on PHP development skills
• AJAX / Javascript skills, for both modifying current code and developing original scripts / functionality a plus
• In depth SQL skills for databases such as mySQL (required) MS SQL etc.
• Must be able to show previous work and prove work experience.
• Have amazing analytical / problem solving skills
• Be able to come up with out-of-the-box solutions
• E-commerce experience a plus. Integration with Paypal, 2Checkout, Authorize.net etc.
• Experience on OSCommerce, Joomla and other such open-source systems, Facebook applications, creation of and working with APIs a plus
• Must be able to work alone as well as in team-based environments
• Punctuality, creating and sticking to deadlines, taking responsibilities
